Snowflake wanted “re-invent” their trade show properties from their existing traditional chalet into a new direction. In order to bring the traditional ski-chalet into a contemporary take, modifications needed to be made to the structure. White textured laminate replaces much of the previous wood, evoking a glistening snow appearance. The structure was softened with curved edges along with branded stained glass inspired by gothic architecture. Two “snow caps” at the top of the structure subtly convey a feeling of snow overhead. Snowflake gives away their ever popular stuffed polar bears to attendees at every show they attend. This booth re-imagines the reception desk that holds the teddy bears into a “block of ice”. This look is accomplished through highly texturized cast acrylic, showcasing the bears encapsulated in ice.
